The District is a 23,600 + acre independent special district located in Nassau County, Florida. The land within the District consists of parcels within the East Nassau Community planning Area (ENCPA). The authorized land uses within the ENCPA include Regional Center, Employment Center, Village Center, Resort Development, Residential (Tier 1, 2 and 3), and Conservation Habitat Network (wetland and upland conservation). The District is served or planned to be served from by entry from major roadways, including I-95, US-17/State Road 200, Pages Dairy Road and Chester Road.
The East Nassau Stewardship District (“District”) is a local unit of special-purpose government and political subdivision created and existing pursuant to Chapter 2017-206, Laws of Florida (“Act”), and Chapter 189, Florida Statutes, being situated entirely within Nassau County, Florida. The District is limited in its special purpose with the power to provide, plan, implement, construct, maintain and finance as a local government management entity its systems, facilities, services, improvements, infrastructure and projects and possessing financing powers to fund its management power over the long term and with sustained levels of high quality.
